Hey everyone! Today’s post will be my May Birchbox unboxing! This is my first Birchbox ever because I just signed up a few weeks ago. I really love these subscription services because it’s so fun to try new brands and different types of products without the risk of spending a ton of money. If you aren’t familiar with Birchbox, it is a $10/month beauty subscription service. Each month they send you 5, usually trial sized, beauty products to try out. If you are familiar with Ipsy, it’s very similar (also, if you haven’t read my May Ipsy unboxing, check it out!). Although with Birchbox, you are able to get some products that are not necessarily beauty related if you choose, unlike Ipsy. Another thing that Birchbox does that Ipsy does not is they give you a card with the products with descriptions listed on it, as well as prices of the full size products. I really like this because it gives you more information about the products and also gives you an idea of the money you are saving by being able to test the products out, as opposed to just buying them and hoping they are good. One downfall with Birchbox is that you do get a more tailored questionnaire of what you like with Ipsy, so that your bag has more products that you personally enjoy in it.

Hey everyone! I don’t know about you, but I am so excited for the new launches that Jeffree Star Cosmetics has coming next week! Currently, he is probably most well known in the makeup world for his liquid lipsticks. I first saw Jeffree Star on Youtube and I fell in love. His makeup looks are amazingly flawless, and bonus he is hilarious. The first thing he has coming out are his new Skin Frost highlighters. And trust, if there is one thing Jeffree Star knows, it is highlighters-these look amazing! There are 4 shades: Ice Cold, a very cool toned white highlighter, Peach Goddess, a pretty pink toned highlighter, King Tut, a beautiful gold toned highlighter, and Mint Condition, a really unique minty green highlighter. These will be $29 each and the pans are huge, so you are definitely getting bang for your buck. Especially since the swatches look super pigmented, meaning a little goes a long way.
