Violet Voss X Laura Lee Eyeshadow Palette

violet voss x laura lee palette

Hey everyone, today’s post is going to be about the Violet Voss X Laura Lee Eyeshadow Palette!  Not going to lie, I was pretty excited about this palette when I first heard about it.  First, I love Laura Lee and have been watching her Youtube channel for a long time.  Second, I’ve been wanting to try a Violet Voss palette ever since there was a lot of buzz going around about how great their Holy Grail palette was.  So let’s get into it!

So, if you love neutrals, especially warm neutrals, you are probably going to love this palette.  This palette contains 20 eyeshadows-10 matte shades and 10 shimmer shades, so it is nicely balanced in that regard.  The matte shades are super smooth and buttery feeling, as are the shimmers.  All of the shades are super pigmented as well.  You are able to get the most out of the shimmer shades by foiling them with a setting spray on your brush (or water even), though they still look really pretty as is.  The matte shades are super easy to work with, they aren’t patchy and blend out really nicely.

Jeffree Star Beauty Killer Palette

beauty killer palette

Hey everyone!  Today I’m going to be reviewing the Jeffree Star Beauty Killer Palette!  I was so excited to order this palette, because I think Jeffree Star does some amazing makeup looks and is serious about makeup quality.  Basically, I knew this eyeshadow palette had to be bomb.  Let’s get into it!

beauty killer palette

As you can see, the colors are just beautiful in this palette.  The palette consists of 10 eyeshadows:   4 mattes, 5 shimmers, and 1 matte with flecks of glitter in it.  The pans are also really big, which is awesome.  As you might expect from Jeffree Star, most of the colors are unique and more on the bold side.  But, you still have a blending crease color, a base color, and a nice smokey color for adding depth.  So, even though there are a lot of colorful shades, you do have the basics you need to create a makeup look all in one palette.

How to Cheat at Winged Eyeliner

Hi guys!  Today’s post is going to be about how to cheat at creating that super sharp winged eyeliner that is so popular right now.  Now, if you’re like me, I struggled to do a winged eyeliner using liquid eyeliner, and using a pencil just doesn’t create that sharp ‘cut-a-bitch’ wing that we all aim for.  Most of my problem is that I have super shakey hands, always have.  So I actually struggle to do any top liner at all,  wing or no wing.  That is until I found this amazing trick:  using eyeshadow instead of liner!  Using eyeshadow provides so much more control because it doesn’t have that slip to it that liquid liners have.  Also, you have a lot more room for error because it is easier to correct mistakes since it is a powder.  Literally, this changed my makeup game and it works so well!
