Hey everyone! Welcome to my new segment-Monthly Beauty Favorites! I am so excited to start this new post series! This first one will be for my favorite beauty products for the month of July! These are all the products that I just haven’t been able to put down and have been obsessed with for this month-let’s get started!
The first thing that I have been completely obsessed with this month is the Too Faced Sweet Peach Palette. With all the warm and peachy shades, this has been my go to for summer looks. I did a complete review on this palette alone, check that out here. My favorite go-to look this month to create is with the shadows swatched below. I use Georgia first as my transition shade, then I softly bring puree right into my crease to create some depth. I then combine both Candied Peach and Just Peachy together on a smaller, more detailed brush and lightly apply this just above where my natural crease is (right above where I applied puree) and diffuse it out so there are no harsh lines. Then, I apply Nectar all over the lid only, softly blending it into puree so, again, there are no harsh lines. For a more fresh, simple look I will leave it at that. If I want just a tad more dimension and drama, I will then add a touch of Summer Yum into the outer ‘V’ of my eyelid and blend that slightly into the outer crease and into Nectar to create a smooth transition. I just love how peachy and summery this look is!
My next favorite of the month is the Colourpop Creme Gel Eyeliner in the shade Zulu. This color is so bright and fun-perfect for summer! It’s like a seafoam blue-green color-so pretty. These eyeliners are super creamy and pigmented, plus they last literally all day, these will not budge. The color can seem a bit bright and intimidating, but in the waterline it just provides such a beautiful pop of color without being too much. I really love to pair this in my waterline with the Sweet Peach Palette look above, it makes for such a bright, fresh, summer look! Also, these are only $5.00!
Speaking of Colourpop, I’m also currently obsessed with one of their Lippie Stix in the color Pony. This is one of their creme finishes and is a super pretty bright, yet muted pink. I love colors like this for summer. I actually just found out that they must not carry this color anymore (sorry guys!), but their formula is so amazing. The color Gossip looks like it could be a similar alternative. No matter if you get a matte, satin, or creme finish, they are super comfortable, pigmented, and long lasting. Also, these are only $5.00 as well, so how can you go wrong?
My next obsession is the Physicians Formula Butter Bronzer. I absolutely love this bronzer, I have fair skin and this doesn’t come off too dark or orangey. It just gives you a beautiful sun-kissed look. It also applies so nicely, it is so smooth and doesn’t ever go patchy. Also, it comes with this strange spongey brush looking thing that I didn’t really understand how to use…I just use my normal bronzing/contour brush, the Morphe M530. My favorite part though it probably the smell-it smells so delicious, like a tropical Piña Colada. Though once it’s on, after about 5 minutes the smell disappears. So, if you are sensitive to scents, no need to worry!
Next, I am really loving this Too Faced Sweetheart Blush in Sparkling Bellini. This color is just so pretty and perfect for summer. It gives you such a beautiful peachy glow. It has just enough shimmer in it to create that healthy glow, but without looking like you smeared a bunch of shimmer on your entire face. It also somehow makes me look more tan, like I just got back from a beach vacation.
My next favorite is this NYX HD Finishing Powder in Banana. I really love this for setting my undereye area, it really brightens it up. I also really love to use this to clean up underneath my contour/bronzer, so it doesn’t get too muddy looking. It is soft and smooth and isn’t super powdery.
Last, but not least, is this IT Cosmetics No 126 Airbrush Blurring Powder Brush. This brush is amazing, I literally use it every day. It’s a big duo fiber, almost stippling looking brush. I use this to set my face with powder after applying my foundation, and also just to help blend together the rest of the powders I apply to my face (bronzer, blush, highlight), for a perfect seemless look. The most amazing this about this brush is how soft it is. I like to first stipple my setting powders on, so I don’t disturb and move around my foundation, and other brushes I have used are just so pokey and uncomfortable feeling. Not this one! It’s so soft and gentle on the skin-I love it!
Alright guys, that’s it for my favorites for the month of July! Let me know if you have tried any of these products and what you think of them! Also, what were some of your favorites this past month?
