Birchbox – February 2017

birchbox february 2017

Welcome to February’s Birchbox!  Right off the bat, I have to say that I really love this month’s box, it’s super cute and Valentines Day themed!  But, what matters is what’s inside, so let’s get into it!

I’m going to start with the product I was most excited about, which is the Dr. Brandt Microdermabrasion Skin Exfoliant.  I really like this, it makes your skin baby soft after using it.  That being said, I don’t know if I would ever pay the $79 for the full product (eesh!).  The next thing I got was a BioRepublic Skincare Cucumber Breeze Soothing Fiber Mask.  This is essentially your basic sheet mask, it felt nice and cooling  while on but I don’t know if it really did a whole lot.

Birchbox Unboxing: June 2016

birchbox unboxing

Hey guys!  Today is going to be my June Birchbox unboxing!  If you are unfamiliar with Birchbox and how it works, check out my first Birchbox unboxing where I explain how this beauty subscription box works!  Well, let’s just dive in to this month’s box, shall we?!

Let’s just start off with the most exciting product in this month’s box, which was the new Benefit Gimme Brow Volumizing Fiber Gel in the shade ‘5 Deep’.  If you haven’t heard, Benefit just came out with a TON of new eyebrow products, which is super exciting!  While the Gimme Brow isn’t really a ‘new’ product, they did reformulate it and added this super awesome new packaging.  I was even more excited to receive this because I haven’t actually ever tried the Gimme Brow yet and have been wanting to.  The only down side is that it is a bit darker than I’d prefer, but with a light hand I think I can make it work.

Birchbox Unboxing: May 2016

birchbox unboxing         birchbox unboxing

Hey everyone!  Today’s post will be my May Birchbox unboxing!  This is my first Birchbox ever because I just signed up a few weeks ago.  I really love these subscription services because it’s so fun to try new brands and different types of products without the risk of spending a ton of money.  If you aren’t familiar with Birchbox, it is a $10/month beauty subscription service.  Each month they send you 5, usually trial sized, beauty products to try out.  If you are familiar with Ipsy, it’s very similar (also, if you haven’t read my May Ipsy unboxing, check it out!).  Although  with Birchbox, you are able to get some products that are not necessarily beauty related if you choose, unlike Ipsy.  Another thing that Birchbox does that Ipsy does not is they give you a card with the products with descriptions listed on it, as well as prices of the full size products.  I really like this because it gives you more information about the products and also gives you an idea of the money you are saving by being able to test the products out, as opposed to just buying them and hoping they are good.  One downfall with Birchbox is that you do get a more tailored questionnaire of what you like with Ipsy, so that your bag has more products that you personally enjoy in it.
