Hey everyone! I’m back with a Sephora Play unboxing for October!
I know I’ve been MIA for awhile, but let me just fill you in – Sephora is killing it with the beauty subscription box game. They have really stepped up their game with the products they send and personalizing them more to each person, rather than everyone basically getting the same thing. That being said, let’s get into October’s bag!
First thing, the obligatory perfume sample. This one is Bel Azur by Tory Burch. Usually I hate these because I am so picky about perfume scents. But, I actually really like this one – hallelujah! It smells clean but with a slight warm kind of note too it as well. I have no idea if that makes any sense, I have no idea how to describe scents. Next is a sample of Dr. Brandt Poredermabrasion Pore Perfecting Exfoliator. That’s a mouthful. I have actually used this a couple times before because I’ve gotten it in a beauty subscription service, whether it be Sephora, Birchbox, or Ipsy, I can’t remember. But I really do enjoy this product, its exfoliating but still gentle.
I then got a sample of the Tarte Rainforest of the Sea Marine Boosting Mist. As you might know if you read my review on this, I love this face spray. Here’s my review if you want to check it out. I also got the Urban Decay Optical Illusion Complexion Primer. I was really excited to see this actually, because I’ve been wanting to try one of their newer primers. This does transform to match your skintone like it claims, and does a decent job of filling pores. Though, you do have to be careful not to rub it too much, or it starts to pill.
The next thing I received was the Makeup For Ever Ultra HD Foundation in the shade Y245. I’ve tried this foundation already and I’m not a huge fan to be honest (unpopular opinion?). I just don’t think it provides that much coverage or looks that amazing, like everyone seems to think it does. Like, its okay. But, I was kind of impressed that the shade they sent is actually not a horrible match, since I tend to run on the fair side. The last thing I got was the Makeup For Ever Ultra HD Skin Booster Serum. I am most attracted to this because it comes in a tiny eye dropper bottle (so cute!). But it does actually feel moisturizing to the skin without being heavy, since it’s a serum.
Well, that was it for this month’s Sephora Play unboxing. Have you tried any of these products, and what do you think? Also, if you subscribe to Sephora Play, share what you got in your box this month!
