Jeffree Star Beauty Killer Palette

Hey everyone!  Today I’m going to be reviewing the Jeffree Star Beauty Killer Palette!  I was so excited to order this palette, because I think Jeffree Star does some amazing makeup looks and is serious about makeup quality.  Basically, I knew this eyeshadow palette had to be bomb.  Let’s get into it!

As you can see, the colors are just beautiful in this palette.  The palette consists of 10 eyeshadows:   4 mattes, 5 shimmers, and 1 matte with flecks of glitter in it.  The pans are also really big, which is awesome.  As you might expect from Jeffree Star, most of the colors are unique and more on the bold side.  But, you still have a blending crease color, a base color, and a nice smokey color for adding depth.  So, even though there are a lot of colorful shades, you do have the basics you need to create a makeup look all in one palette.

The shadows are such great quality as well.  The matte shades are super soft and creamy, and they blend out like a dream.  The shimmers are really creamy as well and have a foiled texture.  All of the colors are super pigmented -no duds here!  Since it is so pigmented, you would think you’d have to deal with a lot of fall out too, but really there isn’t much fallout at all.  Courtney is such a great transition shade for the crease and China White is perfect to set the whole eye area with to make the rest of your shadows pop and blend out smoothly.  Rich Bitch is your perfect gold and Expensive is such a beautiful and unique shimmery emerald color.  My favorite though, has to be the gorgeous matte hot pink shade-I’m in love.  I honestly don’t really have anything bad to say about this palette, I think it’s beautiful!  There are a ton of great looks you could create with this palette-as long as you’re not afraid of color!  The palette runs for $45 at Jeffree Star’s website, which I think is a great price for the quality and size of the shadow pans.

Swatches left to right: Star Power, Princess, Violence, Rich Bitch, Courtney, Expensive, Confession, Vanity, China White, and Black Rainbow.

Here is the first look I created with this palette!  Of course I just had to use that gorgeous hot pink shade!  I really love this look because although the hot pink provides a pop of color, it is still really wearable, soft, and pretty.  To create this look, first I softly blended Courtney into and above the crease as a transition shade.  Then with very little product on my brush, I lightly blended Star Power into my crease, feathering it up above the crease slightly.  Remember to gradually build up the color with this, since it is so pigmented.  I then packed Princess, a shimmery baby pink, all over the lid.  Then, to add some more dimension, I ever so slightly went in with a mix of Violence and Star Power in the outer v of the eye.  After that I went in with a clean blending brush and made sure everything was blended together well.  From there I just added some mascara.  I decided to leave the lower lashline bare (minus mascara) to keep the look light and fresh.  The lipstick I’m wearing is Rose Matter, also by Jeffree Star, which I lightly patted on with my finger to create a more soft wash of color.
