Hey guys!  I finally got my hands on the Urban Decay Gwen Stefani Eyeshadow Palette!!  I’ve been wanting to get my hands on this as soon as it launched a while back because, I mean, Gwen Stefani…right?!  Let’s just talk about the part that wooed me the most with this palette-the packaging.  This really shouldn’t be any surprise though, because Gwen is just so chic.  It is just SO beautiful, I almost didn’t even want to use it in fear of ruining it.  I really love the colors in this palette because it’s the perfect combination of nudes with those few pops of color that are super wearable.  Also, it has a good combination of both shimmers and mattes.  The names of the colors are really fun too!

First of all, these shadows are so soft and buttery.  Second, they blend so nicely, you don’t have to do a ton of work to get a smooth transition.  Speaking of transition, the colors Anaheim, Stark, and Zone have been my new go-to transition shades.  They are the perfect neutral transition colors to blend into the crease.  These shadows are also quite pigmented, so make sure you go in with a light hand and build from there.  I really love the color Punk for darkening up the outer V of the eye for depth; it’s a really beautiful cranberry/brown shade.  I also really love the colors 1987 and Harajuku.  1987 is such a fun gold color that really pops and Harajuku is a very pretty wearable pink.

The only negative thing I would have to say about this palette is that it is a bit on the pricey side.  It retails for $58.  Overall though, I think this is a great palette.  The quality of the shadows are great and the colors are very practical for both every day looks and for when you want to get glammed up.  Comment below and let me know if you have tried this palette out and what you think of it!
